Terms of service
The agreement you make with LegitVCC when you open an account and order a card, set out clause by clause.
A plain-English draft, currently being reviewed by a qualified lawyer, so the wording may still change. The rules it describes are the ones we work to today. If a line reads unclear, ask us before you order.
Clause A — The parties
This agreement is between you and the operator of LegitVCC (“we”, “us”). The operator’s legal name, registered address and registration details: [to be completed after legal review].
Opening an account or ordering a card means you accept these clauses, the refund policy and the privacy notice. Anyone who disagrees with them should not open an account or order a card.
Clause B — What we provide
We issue virtual cards for online payments. A card can spend only the balance loaded onto it. We offer no credit, no deposit account, no investment product and no stand-alone currency exchange.
A card is issued only once a person on our team has checked the payment for its order. Each merchant chooses which cards it accepts, so we can’t guarantee that a given shop will take a given card.
Clause C — Your login
- Use an email address that is yours and that you can read, and keep your password to yourself.
- Signing in takes a password and a code from an authenticator app. The second step can’t be turned off.
- Store your recovery codes safely. If the authenticator and all the codes are lost at once, we will verify your identity before restoring access, and that takes time by design.
- What happens in your account is your responsibility. Tell us immediately if you suspect someone else has been in.
- One account per person. Exceptions exist only where we have agreed them in writing.
Clause D — Prices
- A card costs the amount loaded onto it, plus $5.00 per card and 15% of that amount. You see the total before paying.
- When you begin an order, our server calculates the total and holds it for a short period while you pay. The total recorded with your order is the one that counts.
- Each card holds between $10.00 and $5,000.00, unless the order page shows other limits.
Clause E — Paying
- Manual transfer: send the full total, over the network named on screen, to the address named on screen, then enter its transaction ID (TXID) on the order. A TXID is accepted for one order and never again.
- Hosted checkout: you pay on the provider’s own page, and the provider’s terms apply to that payment as well.
- Whatever your wallet or exchange charges to send the transfer is yours to pay. What arrives must equal the total.
- A payment that arrives short, on a different network, or that we can’t connect to an order may hold the order up or stop it being approved (see Clause G).
Clause F — Our check
Before any card exists, someone on our team examines the paid order. Most cards are issued within a few hours of the payment being confirmed. We may refuse an order if we can’t confirm its payment, if it appears to break these terms, or if the law requires it. When we refuse, we give the reason wherever we are permitted to.
Clause G — Payments we can’t match
If money reached us but its order wasn’t approved, contact support from the order page. We will investigate and, where the funds can be shown to be yours, agree with you how they are returned. Funds sent to a wrong address, or over a network our address doesn’t support, may be beyond anyone’s reach.
Clause H — Using a card
- Lawful purposes only: no fraud, no evading sanctions or the law, nothing illegal where you are, and nothing that breaks a merchant’s or platform’s own rules.
- Keep card details private. We reveal them only after a current authenticator code, and only for a short time.
- If a number, security code or expiry date may have leaked, tell us straight away.
- We may freeze or close a card where we reasonably suspect misuse, or where we are required to.
Clause I — Refunds
Balances come back under the refund policy. The fees paid to order a card are never refunded.
Clause J — Ending things
You may stop using the service whenever you like and ask us to close your account; any refundable balance is handled under the refund policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these clauses, giving notice where we are allowed to.
Clause K — Liability
We run the service with reasonable care and skill. Within the limits the law sets, we carry no liability for loss arising from a merchant refusing a card, by incorrect information you gave us, by funds you sent to the wrong address or network, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these clauses limits a liability that the law forbids us to limit.
Clause L — New versions
We may revise these clauses. If a revision matters, we tell you by email or in the app before it applies. The version on this page, with its date, is the one in force.
Clause M — Governing law
These clauses are governed by the law of [jurisdiction to be confirmed after legal review]. Before turning to anyone else, please talk to us; most disagreements end with a conversation.
